Dentist for Port Fairy
A dentist for Port Fairy, twenty-five minutes down the highway.
Port Fairy to Warrnambool is a straightforward twenty-eight kilometres along the Princes Highway, and in ordinary conditions it takes about twenty-five minutes.
Dr Meg named Port Fairy alongside Warrnambool as the area she set out to look after, and we expect a good proportion of our patients to make that drive. What is worth knowing about this practice is the breadth of what she handles herself.

What we offer
- Dental implants — single and multiple, planned with CBCT imaging
- Root canal treatment — including molars
- Complex and surgical extractions
- Crowns, bridges and full-mouth rehabilitation
- Gum disease treatment — including diode laser where it is suitable
- Check-ups, cleans and fillings
- Children’s dentistry and partial dentures
Nine years in regional Western Australia, where referring a patient meant sending them a very long way, meant learning to do work a metropolitan general practice would routinely pass on. For a Port Fairy patient the arithmetic is simple: twenty-five minutes to Warrnambool compares favourably with three hours to Melbourne. She will also tell you when a case genuinely warrants a specialist.
Dr Meg is a general dentist, not a registered specialist in implant dentistry, endodontics or oral surgery.

Driving — leave Port Fairy on the Princes Highway heading east and stay on it through Illowa and Dennington. It becomes Raglan Parade approaching Warrnambool; turn into the city centre and find Lava Street, one block north of Koroit Street, near the Coles at number 130. About twenty-five minutes door to door.
Bus — coach and bus services run several times daily and arrive at the Lava Street Interchange, on our street. Check current services with Public Transport Victoria.
Parking — the Warrnambool Shopping Centre car park is nearest, entered from Lava Street or Koroit Street. Ozone, Parkers and the Coles–Younger car parks are within a short walk, and Banyan Street generally has free on-street parking within the signed limits. Street parking near the practice is paid, and the shopping centre car park is free for two hours.
Common questions
Where it is clinically sensible, yes. Some stages have to be separated by healing time, but we will plan around the drive where we can.
For anything surgical, it is a good idea. Twenty-five minutes of highway is easier as a passenger.
Dr Meg places and restores implants herself, for suitable single and multiple cases. All-on-4 is not offered. Suitability is confirmed after examination and 3D imaging.
From opening in December 2026, we will hold two same-day emergency appointments each day. Call 03 5208 9006 first thing in the morning to secure one. Emergency appointments cannot be booked online. After hours, go to the Emergency Department. If it is a serious facial injury, uncontrolled bleeding, or swelling affecting your breathing or swallowing, go to South West Healthcare or call 000 rather than driving to a dental practice.
